Angus L. Walker, 75; Led City Investing Co.

Angus Lightfoot Walker, retired chairman of the executive committee of the City Investing Company of New York, died Sunday at his home in Southampton, L.I. He was 75 years old and also had a home in Manhattan.

Mr. Walker retired last July from City Investing, a widely diversified business with interests in housing, land development, financial services and manufacturing.

He was elected chairman of the company in 1970, after having served as chairman and chief executive officer of the Rheem Manufacturing Company, which became a wholly owned subsidiary of City Investing in the 1960's. Rheem makes steel drums, ranges and home heating and cooling systems.

Born in England and raised in Australia, Mr. Walker came to the United States in 1946 as executive assistant to the president of Rheem.

He was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a number of other groups interested in international affairs and trade. He also was a director of Marine Midland Banks Inc. and other large corporations.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Amber; a son, Christopher Angus Walker of Manhattan, and two sisters, Margaret Brooke of Chichester, England, and Jean Wells of Sydney, Australia. .

LIGHTFOOT WALKER-- Christopher Angus. Born July 20, 1954. Son of the late Angus Lightfoot Walker and Amber Lightfoot Walker, died unexpectedly at his home in Manhattan on Sunday, August 19. Christopher was one of the bravest. He was also eternally optimistic and with a great sense of the humorous side of life. He leaves a space that can not be filled.

Baird Jones and Christopher Lightfoot Walker co-hosted a cocktail party in the duplex apartment of Chris's parents Angus and Amber Light Walker the other night. A light dinner followed before dancing over to Canceteria. Among those invited were George Plimpton, Howard, Marissa and Patty John,on, Nina Ford, Caroline Meade, Abby Rosse, Paul Weitz and William Zeckendoft and Steven Tischman.
